Elementary Children’s Sunday School

 

 

 

Kindergarten through fifth grade children participate in Rotation Model learning. The United Methodist Curriculum Powerxpress from Cokesbury is used. Lessons are based on a 4-8 week rotation. Each of unit is planned around the same Bible Story or concept.

 

The children attend a different area such as Art, Computer, Cooking, Games, Music, Science, Storytelling, and Video each week. As they enjoy the transition through the lessons, they also gain a better understanding of the story by participation.

 

Elementary children are divided into three age groups: Kindergarten/First, Second/Third, and Fourth/Fifth. Each group has a lead teacher and a shepherd. A bulletin board at both ends of the hall helps children know which class they will attend each week.

 

Sunday school begins at 9:45 each Sunday. Elementary classes are located upstairs in the main Education Building. Please join us on our adventure.
