We at First United Methodist Church in Graham, Texas are a striving Christian fellowship of many types of people who are called to reach out, to share Christ with all, to make disciples, and to do ministry in God's name.
In 1874, Reverend Pleasant Tackett organized the first Methodist group in Graham under an oak tree on the banks of the Salt Creek. Since that moment, the church has grown to over 1000 members. The church has prospered because of the faithful vision of its people through the years, young and old.
We are committed to the needs of our congregation, our community, and to the mission of the church beyond. Worship, Sunday School, small groups, outreach programs, workshops, dinners, music ministries, youth ministries, children's ministries, adult ministries and fellowship opportunities help make up our activities as a church.
We are not perfect, but we "press on toward the mark of our high calling in Jesus Christ." We commit ourselves through our prayers, our presence, our gifts and our service to pursue a personal faith journey with our Lord and Savior.
From our past will come our future.
